The XR Files: XR reports for industry players

About The XR Files

The XR Files is a curated collection of quality research and information pertaining to industry XR. These files have been aggregated and synthesized over time by people like you looking for validation of immersive technologies. Each file is written in blog style, detailing key takeaways and important findings. Full-text for studies and articles is included, along with APA citations. The site is organized by industry: ALL, HEALTHCARE, TRAINING, EDUCATION, and BRANDING. Each category contains articles that have been tagged as potentially applicable to that industry.

I started The XR Files because I have repeatedly heard about the need for a database of research findings in XR to validate, inspire, and inform applications of immersive technology across a wide variety of fields. The papers I've collected here are from my colleagues at the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab as well as various pieces I've cited in my time doing research on XR.

About Me

My name is Khoi Le (Khoi like the koi fish). I'm currently an undergraduate student at Stanford University, majoring in Symbolic Systems (Computer Science meets Psychology meets Philosophy meets Linguistics). I've worked in VR/AR for almost two years now building research experiences at Stanford VHIL, games at Subdream Studios, and VR training experiences at STRIVR. I hope some of the VR files you find will help you begin or grow your journey in immersive technologies.
